Enjoy the serenity of country living with the elegance of refined suburban charm in this historic village. Franklin Village claims both the quaint charm of a small village and access to one of the most diverse, growing metropolitan areas in the Midwest.

ABOUT

Franklin is a mere 2.5 square miles consisting of quiet rolling hills and wooded lots hosting beautiful homes in a variety of architectural styles. In the downtown area, it’s the 19th and early 20th century properties that make this historic village so unique. History is valued in this village, and the center has repurposed many of its buildings for its main business thoroughfare.

DINING/SHOPPING

Home to one of the most iconic cider mills in the area, Franklin Cider Mill is the kind of place where neighbors greet each other each autumn. Beyond community gatherings, fashion, one-of-a-kind housewares and gifts are the name of the game at curated boutiques like Zieben Mare, The Village Boutique and So Zen. For a cozy lunch or dinner, the classic Franklin Grill is established in an original village barn and boats the most beautiful patio around. Franklin Hills Country Club, and the nearby Franklin Athletic Club are hubs for socializing, athletics  and networking.

AROUND TOWN

The Village Green is the hub of this quaint little town and hosts everything from little league games, Sunday Farmers Market, Movies on the Green and more.  The biggest annual event is at the locally televised Labor Day Parade and Roundup whose parade winds down Franklin Road to the green, hosting old-time carnival games and an art fair. Keep an eye out for many of the worthwhile events at the Franklin Library.

EDUCATION

Birmingham Public Schools serves Franklin Village, Birmingham, Bingham Farms and Beverly Hills as well as parts of Troy, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township and Southfield. This outstanding educational community is one of the most highly respected in the area, ranking in the top 10 on Niche for both Best School District and Safest School District. Prestigious private schools like the Roeper Institute, Detroit Country Day, and Cranbrook are also easily within reach.
